A great collection on Essential Mac OS X Applications. A worthy initiative indeed!!
Handbrake is missing as well - Its available from http://handbrake.fr/
I need date stamps to keep things in prospective. Too bad the site designer didn’t think that was important.
Some of these apps are pretty handy. I never much got into quicksilver though.

Some of these apps are pretty cool. I never got into quicksilver though.
I’d definitely add BetterTouchTool, even if it is a early beta. With BetterTouchTool you can add new gestures and set custom shortcuts for the magic mouse and the macbook touchpad.
Also it adds several new things e.g. 3 three finger tap and click two finger swipes, three finger swipes….
You can get it here: http://blog.boastr.net
This list is pretty lacking, everyone tries to do this and misses the best apps, and adds alot of misc stuff. to create a blog. Cyberduck (FTP), ClamXAV (Anti Virus), Smultron (HTML Editor), Name Mangler (Batch Renaming) and most importantly Handbrake (Video Encoding/Compression). Besides those that are missing, VLC, Firefox, and Adium rock!
THINGS
Wheres stuffit expander or speed download. Both of which I cant imagine life without.
USBOverdrive is an essential power user tool. Even if you’re not a power user, it’s almost guaranteed to boost your productivity. Superior app, excellent support, very highly recommended.
This is a good list. What I’m missing most for Mac is a good tool for file management i.e. folder syncing, folder merge, file comparisons, there’s no one in the list and it seems to me there’s nothing really reliable and with appropriate options out there.
Thanks for sharing!
Realy usefull for me.
for ftp, after testing most of them, I settle with FileZilla… free, open source…
